UAE-based leading smart and green facilities management (FM) company Farnek Services has been awarded six hospitality contracts worth $2.05 million, varying in length from one to three years.

Farnek has secured four hotel/apartment contracts including the five-star Fairmont Dubai hotel, the three-star Revier Hotel, the four-star S Hotel and the deluxe Sonder JBR Suites. In addition, the FM company has also garnered two restaurant contracts, the Mood Rooftop Lounge in The Meydan Hotel and the Cloud Lounge in the Studio One Hotel.

“To secure these contracts, some of which are for three years, we not only offered a broad-based proposition, which was commercially competitive. We also demonstrated a high degree of technical training, development and professionalism, offering a well-trained and cost-effective, tech-savvy workforce.”

Due to the pandemic outbreak, the hospitality industry was mandated to comply with all government and public health directives, to ensure that their guests experience a safe, healthy and comfortable stay, as well as to protect the wellbeing of their staff.

This year, Farnek achieved the Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC) STAR accreditation for its head office facility in Dubai, the first FM facility to be accredited by GBAC, a division of International Sanitary Supply Association (ISSA), the global cleaning industry trade association, in the Middle East.

With the certification, the company has been able to establish an internationally recognized cleaning, disinfection and prevention program that reduced the risks associated with the novel coronavirus.

To maintain those standards training is essential and the Farnek training center has a fully fitted elevator, bathroom, kitchen, lobby, and a staircase to give complete training. In terms of maintenance, Farnek’s MEP training center is equipped with a variety of typical assets like split unit a/c’s, distribution boards, pumps and associated systems, to maintain best-practice and identify new approaches to generating efficiencies, Mr. Aburok explained.
