Visit Bahrain has opened a new representative office in the city of Mumbai, India, with the aim of attracting more tourists from the country.

The new move is in line with India’s rise in becoming one of the countries that export the most tourists, in addition to strengthening relations with representatives of the tourism, hospitality and travel sector, and providing promotional services and logistical support.

‘Visit Bahrain’ aims to expand the scope of its work in India and enhance awareness of Bahraini tourist destinations in this country, which is witnessing a growing number of tourists.

This came on the sidelines of Visit Bahrain’s participation in the 43rd World Travel Market exhibition, which was held in the British capital, London, where the company’s CEO, Mr. Ali Amrullah, signed a cooperation agreement with one of the largest Indian companies specialized in providing promotional services in Tourism field.

Mr. Amrullah said that “We have been observing for a long time the increasing importance of India as a source market for tourists, especially after it became the largest country in the world in terms of population, surpassing China. Its income rate is constantly increasing among large segments of the population, and the number of tourists from the Republic of India has doubled in sector of adventure tourism, experiential tourism, business and holiday trips, and conference and exhibition tourism.”

Mr. Amrullah added that “This prompted us to place India in our tourism target circle, and our success in signing this agreement and attracting more Indian tourists to Bahrain is considered an important step not only at the level of our company, but also the tourism sector as a whole in Bahrain, and we will work to introduce the enormous potential of the Bahraini tourism sector.”

Mr. Amrallah also stressed the company’s firm commitment to enhancing the prospects for cooperation with various local and international partners, developing its promotional work and reaching a larger segment of the public through foreign tourism representative offices, within the framework of its expansion strategy and enhancing its presence in regional and international travel markets.

Through this new representative office, “Fazat Bahrain” is heading east after having established itself in the West and succeeded in increasing the number of its representative offices on the European continent to include Britain, Germany, France, Italy, Russia, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, and Poland. And Romania.
