Etisalat, GMIS join forces to hasten 5G deployment; Promotes digital transformation

UAE-based multinational telecom services operator Etisalat has entered into a partnership with the Global Manufacturing and Industrialization Summit (GMIS) to speed up the deployment of the fifth generation of wireless networks (5G) to encourage digital transformation both in the Emirates and globally.

According to the statement, “As a strategic partner to GMIS, Etisalat will share best practices from its experience in rolling 5G communication networks and offering advanced technology solutions to businesses and governments.”

Etisalat’s expertise in 5G and speeding digital transformation in all sectors would benefit this strategic relationship, which will improve operational efficiency. Etisalat was the first to establish a 5G network in the UAE and the region.

As per the reports, “The summit will also benefit from Etisalat Digital and its role in accelerating the digital transformation to explore how 5G, in combination with Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing and the Internet of Things, will usher in a new era of innovation for the manufacturing sector.” Furthermore, it will boost global supply chain networks, encourage sustainable economic growth and contribute to the UAE’s newly-launched industrial strategy.
