EVIQ, a leading electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure company in Saudi Arabia, and Petromin, a key player in mobility solutions, have launched a new EV charging station in Jeddah.
This launch represents a significant milestone in the expansion of Saudi Arabia’s EV infrastructure. The partnership also highlights EVIQ’s strategy to boost the deployment of EV charging points by leveraging Petromin’s extensive network of strategically located petrol stations, especially along key highways.
Mohammad Gazzaz CEO – EVIQ
“Our partnership with Petromin enables us to scale efficiently and provide reliable charging access in high-traffic areas. As Saudi Arabia moves toward its Vision 2030 sustainability goals, collaborations like this will play a critical role in supporting the EV ecosystem and reducing carbon emissions.”
EVIQ plans to deploy over 5,000 chargers in strategic locations around the Kingdom by 2030. Petromin’s robust footprint across Saudi Arabia offers the perfect foundation for the launch of EVIQ’s fast-charging solutions, helping bridge the gap between urban centers and remote areas, encouraging broader EV adoption and accelerating the Kingdom’s transition to a sustainable transportation future.
Recently, EVIQ entered into a partnership with Blacklane, the global chauffeur service, to advance the Kingdom’s EV charging infrastructure. Aligning with Saudi Vision 2030, the partnership seeks to expand the region’s EV charging network throughout major cities and mobility hubs by identifying key locations for new charging stations and setting up dedicated fleet-charging hubs, including one at Blacklane’s new Gulf regional headquarters in Riyadh.
Launched in 1968, Petromin Corporation has established a robust presence in lubricants, fuel retail, automotive services and electric mobility. Spanning over 40 countries, the company stands out for innovation, commitment to quality, and alignment with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
