Gulf Air has announced an expansion of its temporary flight operations through King Fahd International Airport in Dammam (DMM), enabling passengers to book commercial flights for travel between March 15 and March 16, 2026.

The airline said the travel window may be extended depending on operational developments, with additional dates expected to be announced in due course.

The move follows the airline’s earlier repatriation and limited services operated via Dammam and forms part of its broader efforts to maintain international connectivity to and from the Kingdom during the temporary closure of Bahraini airspace.

Passengers can now book flights through the airline’s official website or mobile application to travel on services operating from Dammam to selected global destinations.

Key International Routes

Under the expanded arrangement, Gulf Air will operate the following commercial routes:

  • Dammam – London Heathrow Airport – Dammam
  • Dammam – Mumbai – Dammam
  • Dammam – Bangkok – Dammam

These flights will be available for commercial booking by all passengers during the specified travel period.

To facilitate travel, the airline will assist passengers traveling to and from Bahrain with the issuance of Saudi transit visas where required. Alternatively, travellers entering Saudi Arabia must ensure they hold an eligible visa arranged independently.

In addition, the airline will provide transportation for passengers with confirmed bookings between Bahrain and King Fahd International Airport. Passengers are advised to secure confirmed reservations before proceeding to Dammam for departure.

Flights to and from Bahrain International Airport remain temporarily suspended due to the ongoing airspace closure. Gulf Air said that it will resume normal scheduled services once the Bahrain Civil Aviation Affairs confirms that the country’s airspace has been safely reopened.

The airline has encouraged passengers to regularly check its official website or mobile application for the latest operational updates and booking information.
