Kuwait’s NBK offers fully equipped services for special needs clients in dedicated branches

Kuwait’s largest financial institution, National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) has revealed that it is dedicated to providing the finest service possible to its customers with special requirements, allocating branches with the most up-to-date services to accommodate and simplify their banking experience.

According to the statement, this aligns with NBK’s commitment to social corporate responsibility as it creates a business culture that caters to all elements of society. The Bank is continuing to support the Central Bank of Kuwait’s (CBK) “Let’s Be Aware” financial program, which aims to promote financial inclusion.

NBK currently provides dedicated branches with the most up-to-date services to serve and accommodate customers with specific needs. Several changes were introduced to facilities and equipment, as well as adopting the necessary procedures to offer all banking services and products to clients with disabilities.

As per the statement, “The services provided in these branches include ATMs which have braille keyboards and earphones, enabling visually impaired customers to withdraw money, braille printing facilities, staff trained to provide services in sign language, for hearing-impaired customers, ATMs with voice commands, and iPads providing speech to text functionality for visually impaired customers.”

Furthermore, NBK provided wheelchair access in all of its locations, dedicated and clearly marked parking spaces, and conveniently accessible safe deposit boxes to its special needs friendly bank offices.

NBK is a major supporter and partner in all CBK’s initiatives and campaigns intending to boost financial awareness and spread banking culture among all segments of society.

CBK introduced the “Let’s Be Aware” banking awareness campaign, in collaboration with Kuwaiti banks, as part of its efforts to propagate financial culture and increase awareness among banks’ clients of their rights and responsibilities and the best ways to benefit from banking services. The initiative also intends to promote the saving and investing culture, as well as other connected themes, through publishing a variety of financial culture-related awareness materials and information.
