The King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) and the University of New Haven – Riyadh have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen collaboration in nurturing gifted students.
The agreement will support talent development initiatives for students at both the secondary and university levels through joint academic and educational programs.
According to the statement, the partnership aims to broaden academic and enrichment opportunities for talented students by providing pathways for skill development, innovation, and academic growth. The collaboration aligns with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 to strengthen human capabilities, nurture national talent, and support the development of future-ready leaders.
The signing ceremony was attended by Mawhiba Secretary-General Abdulaziz Al-Karidis and the University of New Haven’s Senior Vice President, Dr. Leo Lester.
Under the MoU, the two organizations will collaborate to deliver academic enrichment and summer programs in Saudi Arabia for gifted students at the secondary and university levels.
The partnership will also include the development of a dedicated initiative for outstanding members of the Mawhiba community who are enrolled at the University of New Haven – Riyadh, providing them with enhanced learning opportunities and support for their academic and professional growth.
In addition, the agreement will facilitate summer and study programs for high-achieving Mawhiba students at the University of New Haven’s main campus in the United States.
The collaboration will also include the development of specialized training and professional development initiatives aimed at enhancing students’ skills, academic capabilities, and future career readiness, as per the statement.
