Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Education Yousef Al-Benyan and Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef have launched the Mawhiba Summer program, a nationwide initiative designed to strengthen science, innovation and research skills among gifted students through specialized enrichment programs held across Saudi Arabia and abroad.
Organized by the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba), the program will be conducted in 19 cities in Saudi Arabia and internationally in partnership with a select group of academic and research institutions.
Saudi Arabia’s Education Minister Al-Benyan said that the program provides a specialized learning pathway that enriches the knowledge of gifted students while strengthening their skills through advanced learning environments.
The minister stated that the initiative will deliver 88 enrichment units across Saudi Arabia and international locations, benefiting more than 12,000 gifted male and female students.
Al-Benyan commented that the program reflects the strong partnership between the Ministry of Education, Mawhiba and other stakeholders in nurturing talented students and preparing a generation capable of competing in science, innovation and knowledge-based fields.
He added that the collaboration underscores the Kingdom’s continued investment in developing national talent and expanding opportunities for gifted students through specialized educational and research programs.
Mawhiba Summer program spans multiple enrichment tracks
The program features a broad portfolio of academic, scientific and technology-focused initiatives aimed at developing gifted students’ knowledge and practical skills.

The program includes the Mawhiba Academic Enrichment Program, Mawhiba Research Enrichment Program, Mawhiba Universal Enrichment Program, Mawhiba Ambassadors Program, the Game Development Program, and several other technology-based programs.
These initiatives are delivered through four specialized tracks:
- Human Health
- Leadership in Energy and Industry
- Environmental Sustainability
- Basic Needs, and Future Economies
The tracks are aligned with Saudi Arabia’s national priorities for research, development and innovation, supporting the Kingdom’s efforts to build a knowledge-based economy and prepare future talent in strategic sectors.
