American multinational technology company Microsoft’s Teams service will get a new feature that will improve its search capabilities. This new function, dubbed Top Hits, will automatically create the most relevant search results for the user.

According to an entry in the Microsoft 365 Cloud PC service roadmap, the Top Hits area will auto-suggest the most relevant results across chats, files, persons, and other anything saved or shared in the app.

This feature allows users to identify what they are looking for faster as it will likely build on the AI-enabled search feature that already exists on Teams, It will be on the lines of a universal search feature.

Video calls, file sharing, and other features are among the new improvements. Microsoft Teams customers can now combine their professional and personal identities in the same app at the same time, according to the company. This feature was released just over a month ago, eliminating the need to toggle between two different types of accounts.

Microsoft is said to have added new video conferencing features to the platform, including Reporter mode, Standout mode, and Side-by-side modes over the course of the epidemic.

As per Microsoft, the Top Hits feature is still in the works and should be available by the end of September.

In addition, the presenter’s background is eliminated from the presentation in all of these modes on Microsoft Teams. It is replaced with either the information that will be shown, or an image of the person who will be delivering that particular chunk of content, or both, depending on their preferences.
