The Saudi Red Sea Authority (SRSA) has granted a yacht chartering license to One Thousand Seven Hundred and Sixty (1760) Limited Company, strengthening efforts to regulate the Kingdom’s coastal tourism sector and expand maritime tourism services in line with Saudi Vision 2030.

The new license approval supports SRSA’s strategy to enhance the readiness of maritime and navigational tourism activities in the Red Sea, improve service quality, protect the marine environment and encourage specialized investment in the sector.

The license marks another step in regulating yacht chartering activities and broadening marine tourism offerings across Saudi Arabia through a framework designed to balance investor enablement with higher standards of compliance, safety and sustainability.

SRSA oversees maritime and navigational tourism activities and is responsible for issuing licenses and permits for operators in the sector. The authority also develops regulations, standards and policies governing coastal tourism marinas while supporting their growth and encouraging investment in marine tourism activities.

These efforts aim to create an attractive business environment for operators and investors while supporting sustainable sector growth through a clear regulatory framework.

Yacht charter licenses are issued only after applicants meet all approved regulatory requirements, according to SRSA. The licensing process includes verification of compliance with SRSA regulations, confirmation of yacht seaworthiness, and adherence to security, safety and environmental protection standards in line with local regulations and approved industry requirements.

SRSA said that the licenses help improve the efficiency of yacht charter operations, enhance service reliability and expand marine tourism options available to visitors. The initiative is also expected to support investment attraction, create quality employment opportunities and encourage sustainable practices that protect and preserve the marine environment.

With the latest approval, the total number of yacht charter establishment licenses issued by SRSA across Saudi Arabia has reached nine as of the second quarter of 2026.

The milestone reflects the authority’s ongoing efforts to develop the Red Sea’s coastal and marine tourism sector, improve service quality and strengthen the regulatory maturity of the industry to support its long-term sustainability and competitiveness.
