When it comes to exercise, it’s important to remember that a balanced approach is essential. Most fitness enthusiasts fail to understand what balance is or how to maintain it to achieve optimal results.

Experts are of the opinion that for fitness, health, and well-being, one must be consistent. Or in other words, “balancing and not boosting.” Let’s have a look at some of the expert recommended tips on how to achieve this balance and work towards your everyday fitness goals.

1. Consistency is essential

When it comes to workout most of us believe that if you’re not out of breath after the session, it wasn’t a good one. However, nothing could be further away from the truth. It’s not about beating yourself up every time you work out; it’s about enjoying yourself and what your body is capable of. Yes, getting a rush of adrenaline is exciting, but not at the expense of your wellbeing.

Fitness expert state that “one session will not make or break your body. Consistent work over a long period is what will give you the results you desire. Also, you can only be consistent if you’re being good to your body.”

2. Evolve every day

The most difficult part is finding the best balance between training and overtraining, or working out until you’re completely exhausted.

“Sometimes, just moving and enjoying the movement is good enough. Surely, you can have a session or two in a week where you go all out and enjoy that burn, but you can’t do that for 7 days a week, 365 days a year for the rest of your life. Your body needs downtime, too,” the fitness expert added.

3. Consumption of healthy foods

Fitness experts point out that people keep switching diets in the hopes of magically achieving the body of their dreams. “Diets are a short-term fix and you can’t sustain it for the rest of your life. The minute you go from restricting yourself to eating everything you want, you’re back to square one. And that’s why adopting a clean and balanced eating strategy is the smarter and more long-lasting choice. Consuming lots of protein shakes every day is not the answer; try and get your protein from natural foods.”

4. Maintain a straightforward approach

“The simpler you keep it, the more chance you have to succeed. The result is never in our hands, the process is. And if we focus all our energy on just staying the course, we will get to where we want to be,” they say.
