NAFFCO Group has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Department of Civil Aviation, Government of Fujairah, and Fujairah International Airport to enhance aviation safety and emergency response capabilities at the airport.

The agreement signed during the International Exhibition for National Security and Resilience (ISNR) focuses on strengthening airport emergency preparedness through the development and provision of a dedicated firefighting training center, along with advanced operational support systems.

The initiative improves response efficiency and aligns airport operations with international aviation safety and emergency management standards.

Under the MoU, NAFFCO Group will collaborate with Fujairah International Airport to enhance firefighting infrastructure and deliver specialized aviation emergency response training through its training academy.

The cooperation also covers the deployment of operational assets and simulation-based training programs designed for airport emergency teams.

The agreement was signed by Eng. Khalid Al Khatib and Ali Khalid Al Khatib, NAFFCO Group CEO, and Mr. Ali Khalid Al Khatib, NAFFCO Group Managing Director, alongside Capt. Esmaeil M. Al Boloushi, General Manager of Fujairah International Airport, and Ebraheem Al Qallaf, Deputy General Manager of Fujairah International Airport.

NAFFCO Group emphasized that the partnership reflects its focus on strengthening aviation firefighting capabilities and providing integrated emergency response solutions, including training infrastructure and operational systems for airport environments.

The collaboration also supports ongoing efforts to enhance safety standards, improve emergency readiness, and ensure compliance with global aviation safety requirements.

The MoU highlights broader cooperation between public and private sector entities in the UAE aimed at improving aviation safety infrastructure and emergency preparedness systems.

The collaboration is expected to support long-term improvements in emergency response readiness at Fujairah International Airport through structured training programs, upgraded firefighting systems, and coordinated operational planning between NAFFCO and airport authorities.
