The Oman Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology, in collaboration with the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) and the Royal Oman Police (ROP), has confirmed the full preparedness of the country’s land transport sector.

The initiative aims to ensure the smooth and efficient movement of goods from Omani ports to markets across the GCC, supporting regional trade and economic connectivity.

This move underscores a commitment to streamlined procedures that enhance trade fluidity and fortify supply chain resilience.

To ensure uninterrupted commercial flow and accelerate response times for transport and logistics demands, the Ministry has introduced a suite of advanced facilitations.

Chief among these is the expedited entry of empty land transport vehicles arriving from GCC states, enabling efficient cargo loading from Oman’s ports through the ‘Bayan’ system via swift and simplified digital processes.

These measures highlight the strategic importance of transit transport in positioning Oman as a vital conduit for goods entering the Gulf and broader regional markets.

By optimizing freight efficiency and reinforcing supply chain continuity, the Sultanate continues to solidify its standing as a dynamic logistics corridor and a reliable commercial gateway. The initiative opens new avenues for regional economic integration and deepens collaborative trade ties with neighboring nations.

Recently, the Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology affirmed that land, maritime, and air transport operations across the Sultanate are proceeding normally, with all operational and logistical services continuing to function efficiently.

According to the statement, all transport and logistics operations are being carried out in full compliance with international safety and security standards, maintaining the reliability and stability of the Sultanate’s transport network.
