The Qatar Chamber has strengthened bilateral cooperation with Nepal in the economic and commercial fields, in light of the close relations between the two countries.
This came during a meeting between Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Obaidli, Board Member of the Qatar Chamber, and His Excellency Chandra Dhakal, President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
The two sides discussed areas of cooperation and investment opportunities available in both countries, in addition to activating the Qatari-Nepalese Joint Business Council.
Al-Obaidli explained that Nepal is an important country for Qatar and Qatari investors, particularly given its high population density and promising investment opportunities. He also noted Qatar’s interest in investing in Asian countries, which represent a large market.
He added that Qatar has become an important hub for business and investment, with particular focus on a number of sectors such as banking, digitalization, trade, and others.
His Excellency Chandra Dhakal praised Qatar’s success in developing its infrastructure and achieving significant accomplishments, noting that there are numerous investment opportunities in Nepal available to Qatari investors, particularly in the tourism, mining, and services sectors.
He stressed that Nepal offers numerous investment incentives to foreign investors, calling on Qatari business owners to explore these opportunities and enhance cooperation with their Nepalese counterparts.
Both parties stressed the importance of activating the Qatari-Nepalese Business Council, which would contribute to strengthening cooperation between the business sectors of the two countries and increasing joint meetings between businessmen to discuss opportunities for partnership and cooperation.
