Qatar Chamber (QC) and the Federation of Sudanese Chambers has explored investment opportunities and ways to enhance bilateral trade between Qatar and Sudan.
The meeting, led by HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al-Thani, Chairman of Qatar Chamber, and HE Saud Mamoun Al Barir, President of the Federation of Sudanese Chambers, aimed to strengthen economic and commercial ties between the two countries.
The discussions focused on the potential for expanding trade relations and the role of the private sector in fostering investments. Both sides acknowledged that the existing trade exchange does not fully reflect the capabilities of both nations and emphasized the importance of collaboration between the private sectors of both countries to elevate economic ties.
Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim Al-Thani underscored Qatar’s long-standing fraternal relationship with Sudan and the growing interest of Qatari businesses in expanding their investments in Sudan. He pointed out that the private sector in both nations has a significant role to play in boosting bilateral trade, urging enhanced cooperation to unlock mutual economic potential.
In response, HE Saud Mamoun Al Barir expressed his admiration for Qatar’s remarkable economic growth and development. He affirmed the Sudanese Chambers Union’s keenness to strengthen cooperation with Qatar Chamber and the Qatari private sector in a way that supports the development of commercial relations between the two brotherly countries.
The meeting concluded with both sides expressing their strong eagerness to actively collaborate on expanding economic cooperation, promoting mutual investments, and creating a more favorable environment for trade.
