Qatar & Tajikistan sign agreement to establish Joint Business Council

The Qatar Chamber (QC) and the Tajikistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry have signed an agreement on the establishment of a Joint Business Council (JBC) between the two chambers.

The agreement was signed at the headquarters of the Qatar Chamber by Qatar Chamber First Vice Chairman Mr. Muhammad bin Ahmed bin Tawar Al Kuwari and Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tajikistan Mr. Jumakhonzoda Jamshed Jurakhon in the presence of the Ambassador of Tajikistan to Qatar HE Khisrav Sohibzoda.

By providing communication channels for business owners in the two countries, exchanging information on trade and economic cooperation, and fostering cooperation between the private sectors in a variety of trade and investment, technology transfer, and services-related fields, the establishment of JBC aims to facilitate communication between the two parties and increase trade and economic cooperation. Additionally, businessmen are encouraged to participate in exhibitions hosted in Tajikistan and Qatar, as well as in the industrial and other sectors.

During the meeting, they discussed cooperation relations between the two sides and ways to enhance them for the benefit of the economies of the two countries. They also reviewed the investment climate in the two countries, the available opportunities, and the possibility of enhancing mutual investments and establishing joint projects, whether in Qatar or Tajikistan.

Mr. Bin Tawar said that the recent visit of His Highness the Amir of State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to Tajikistan opened new horizons for cooperation between the two countries, which will reflect positively on the trade and economic sectors and contribute to enhancing trade and investment exchange.

Qatar Chamber encourages Qatari businessmen to invest in Tajikistan as a promising destination for investment due to the feasible investment opportunities available there. Bin Tawar called on Qatari and Tajik business owners to benefit from the developed relations between the two countries and to enhance cooperation between them through establishing partnerships and trade alliances that benefit the economies of the two friendly countries.

Mr. Bin Tawar also called on Tajik companies to invest in Qatar and benefit from the encouraging business climate, stimulating laws, and the abundance of investment opportunities in Qatar.

Mr. Jurakhon praised the development of relations between the two countries, pointing out that Tajik companies are interested in opening markets for their products in Qatar, as these products are characterized by quality and competitive price, pointing out that the establishment of a joint business council will enhance cooperation between the two sides in various fields.
