HH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, has conducted high-level talks in Jeddah with António Costa, President of the European Council, aimed at advancing bilateral cooperation across key strategic and economic priorities.
The meeting focused on reviewing the depth and scope of Saudi-EU ties, with both sides reaffirming their commitment to expanding cooperation in trade, investment, and economic development, alongside broader strategic collaboration.
Strengthening Saudi-EU engagement
The discussions underscored the importance of sustained engagement amid evolving global economic and geopolitical dynamics.
A significant portion of the talks was dedicated to assessing recent regional developments and their implications for international security and economic stability.
Both sides exchanged views on ongoing geopolitical challenges and emphasized the need for coordinated efforts to address shared concerns while promoting stability and resilience.
The leaders also explored avenues to enhance joint action in diplomacy and conflict resolution, highlighting their shared interest in safeguarding global economic interests and ensuring long-term regional stability.

The meeting was attended by several senior Saudi officials, including Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, Minister of State and National Security Advisor Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban, and Saudi Ambassador to the EU Haifa Al-Jedea.
From the European side, attendees included EU Ambassador to the Kingdom Christophe Farnaud, Chief Foreign Policy Advisor Anna-Maria Boura, and EU Special Representative for the Gulf region Luigi Di Maio, along with other senior officials.
The meeting reflects the continued momentum in Saudi-EU relations, particularly in advancing economic cooperation alongside shared priorities in security and regional stability.
