Saudi Arabia has signed three key strategic agreements with leading Chinese companies as part of efforts to localize advanced aviation technologies and strengthen industrial cooperation, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

The agreements were signed on the sidelines of the China International Industry Fair (CIIF) in Shanghai during an official visit by Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef.

The National Industrial Development Center (NIDC), represented by its Chief Executive, Eng. Saleh Al-Solami, signed the agreements with AVIC International, Lanshi Superalloy Company, and BMGK Company.

These partnerships are expected to play a pivotal role in advancing Saudi Arabia’s aviation industry, supporting technology transfer, and building local manufacturing capabilities.

The agreements were signed during Minister Alkhorayef’s participation in the Saudi pavilion at the Hannover Messe exhibition hosted within CIIF. The pavilion showcases the Kingdom’s competitive investment landscape, along with opportunities in the industrial and mining sectors, and is part of Saudi Arabia’s broader efforts to attract global investors.

During his tour of the Saudi pavilion, Alkhorayef was briefed on the activities of the industrial and mineral resources ecosystem entities and the Ministry of Investment.

These activities aim to introduce the competitive advantages of the investment environment in the Kingdom, the promising opportunities in the industrial and mining sectors, and the enablers provided to investors, in addition to cultural presentations on Saudi heritage.

Further, Alkhorayef conducted an extensive tour of several international pavilions at the exhibition, where he was briefed on the latest innovative industrial solutions and smart manufacturing technologies, including robotics, industrial software, and automation.

On the sidelines of his visit to the exhibition, Saudi Arabia Minister Alkhorayef held a bilateral meeting with the leaders of Virtual Mind Holding (VMH), a leading company in robotics manufacturing and AI systems development. They discussed ways to enhance industrial cooperation between the two sides and explored joint opportunities for exchanging expertise and transferring advanced manufacturing technologies to the Kingdom.
