Saudi Aramco CEO named ‘Energy Executive of 2020’

Saudi Arabian multinational petroleum and natural gas company Aramco’s president and CEO, Amin Nasser, has been recognized as the energy executive of the year by a committee of international industry leaders.

He was also chosen for the Energy Intelligence 2020 award by the committee of top executives. The prestigious recognition will be officially presented to the 60-year-old business head, during the analysis firm’s inaugural Energy Intelligence Forum, being held virtually.

The forum will witness a speech by Mr. Nasser on the role of the energy sector in addressing the local climate change and the ways through which firms can make the most out of the alternatives to reduce emissions.

Mr. Alex Schindler, the CEO of Energy Intelligence, will be hosting a panel discussion with the Aramco chief regarding the oil giant’s future measures, power transformation, funding and infrastructure proficiency, enterprise growth, refining, processing and advertising and the impact of the pandemic.

“The award is a global recognition of Mr. Nasser’s executive leadership in the crucial time the oil and gasoline trade is going through. It can also be a reflection of the Kingdom’s reliability in power and environmental commitment. Saudi Aramco witnessed major transformation under his leadership starting from the IPO (initial public offering) to the integration of the company to be one of the major energy and chemical suppliers in the world.”

The Dean of Research at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) further added that this award is an example of Saudi Arabia’s accomplished training system that is contributing leaders with worldwide influence.
