Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) backed American automotive company Lucid Motors has revealed production and details of the price of the Lucid Air electric vehicle collection.
The base model of the Lucid Air Electric Vehicle will start at under $80,000.
The line-up includes the flagship Air, Air Touring, Air Grand Touring and Air Dream Edition with deliveries starting in the spring of 2021.
The structure, “Lucid Electric Advanced platform” which is used to manufacture the Air, will remain common for all the future Lucid vehicles.
Lucid said the minimization of the drivetrain was achieved by reclaiming more space for the passenger cabin.
When connected to a fast DC charging network, Lucid Air will able to charge up to 20 miles per minute which will make it the fastest charging car available in the market. For owners charging their Lucid Air on the road under real-world conditions, this can convert to just 20 minutes of charging for 300 miles of range.
For years, Lucid has been involved in Formula-E races and count on 10 years of experience and over 20 million miles of real-world testing in creating its 113kWh battery pack.

The Production of the EV will begin in the coming months at the Lucid Motors factory in Casa Grande, Arizona, and will supply Lucid Air to North American customers in the spring of 2021.
The air touring model of Lucid motors will be made available from the end of 2021 for $95,000. The Air Grand Touring, available will available for $139,000 in mid-2021, and finally, the limited-volume Air Dream version 2021 spring will be at $169,000.
