Acting General Manager of Qatar Chamber (QC) Ali Bu Sherbak Al Mansouri has met with Non-Resident Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia to the State of Qatar, Natalia Al Mansour, where they discussed arrangements for the upcoming Qatar-Slovenia Business Forum, aimed at enhancing bilateral trade and investment cooperation.

The Qatar-Slovenia Business Forum is set to be held in Doha in November with the participation of a high-level Slovenian delegation, as well as Qatari and Slovenian businessmen and investors.

During the meeting, both sides reviewed the current level of trade relations between Qatar and Slovenia and explored avenues to expand joint investments and partnerships, particularly through the private sector, which plays a key role in driving economic growth and diversification in both countries.

The Qatar-Slovenia Business Forum aims to provide a platform for direct dialogue between business communities, foster cooperation in sectors of mutual interest, and promote opportunities for partnerships in trade, tourism, energy, technology, and manufacturing.

Al Mansouri emphasized the Qatar Chamber’s readiness to cooperate closely with Slovenian entities to further develop trade and investment relations. He pointed out that the Chamber continues to support initiatives that open new channels for communication between the private sectors of both countries.

He noted that bilateral trade between Qatar and Slovenia reached approximately $37.88 (QR138 million) in 2024, underscoring the continued engagement between the two countries and the significant potential for further expansion. Al Mansouri emphasized the shared commitment of both nations to increasing private sector participation, attracting investments, and raising the overall volume of trade exchange.

Al Mansouri highlighted that Qatar’s dynamic business environment presents significant opportunities for Slovenian companies, especially in infrastructure, industry, food security, and renewable energy sectors, adding that the Qatar-Slovenia Business Forum will further strengthen these prospects.
