Saudia has signed a Special Prorate Agreement with Myanmar Airways International to expand travel options for its guests between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.

Under the agreement, Saudia guests will be able to book travel on a single itinerary between Jeddah or Madinah and Yangon via several regional transit hubs, including Bangkok, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and Dubai.

The agreement allows the two carriers to coordinate their travel routes across both networks, streamlining the booking process and providing passengers with a wider range of travel options. By aligning schedules and routes, the partnership enhances connectivity, improves convenience, and creates a more seamless travel experience for customers.

This move is part of Saudia’s broader strategy to strengthen its presence in Asia and expand air connectivity across Southeast Asia, in response to rising travel demand between the two regions. By enhancing route networks and flight options, Saudia aims to facilitate smoother, more convenient travel for passengers while supporting the growth of regional tourism and business travel.

Saudia operates flights to more than 100 destinations across four continents and continues to expand its international network by launching new routes and forging strategic partnerships, thereby strengthening its role in connecting the world with the Kingdom.

Recently, Saudia took delivery of its first Airbus A321XLR aircraft, becoming the first airline in the Middle East and Africa to operate the extra-long-range narrow-body aircraft.

The delivery is a key component of the airline’s fleet expansion program, reinforcing its strategy to enhance operational efficiency, elevate the passenger experience, and advance sustainability across its operations.
