The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) has concluded the ‘Al Dhaid and Fili Nights’ promotional initiative, part of the Sharjah Ramadan Festival 2026, with two closing ceremonies announcing grand prize winners, including two Nissan Patrol SUVs.

The events were held at Souq Shari’at Al Dhaid and Fili Heritage Souq, drawing large crowds of visitors and families who participated in promotional offers, cultural activities, and prize draws.

The ceremonies were attended by Abdallah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of SCCI; SCCI Board members; Mohammed Ahmed Amin Al Awadi, Director-General of SCCI; and Abdul Aziz Al Shamsi, Assistant Director-General for Communication and Business Sector at SCCI.

SCCI honored the winners of the two Nissan Patrol vehicles, Mohammed Yousif Abdulrahman and Alya Saif Al Muhairzi, marking the culmination of the initiative’s activities.

The chamber also recognized winners of the ‘Best Coverage on Instagram’ competition for documenting the Sharjah Ramadan Festival 2026. The winners were Emad Mahmoud and Amr Ahmed at Souq Shari’at Al Dhaid, and Saeed Al Ketbi and Mohammed Khattab at Fili Heritage Souq.

Strong institutional support & partnerships

SCCI acknowledged the contributions of supporting partners at Al Dhaid and Fili Nights, including the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, Al Dhaid Municipality, Al Madam Municipality, the Municipal Councils of Al Dhaid and Madam, the Authority for Initiatives Implementation ‘Mubadara’, Sharjah 24, and Al Wusta TV – Al Dhaid as media partner, highlighting their role in supporting the successful execution of the initiative.

The closing events featured entertainment, cultural and musical showcases, and promotional activities. The program included a film highlighting the festival’s achievements, participant videos from the ‘Best Coverage on Instagram’ contest, and interactive audience segments.

Boosting economic activity and visitor engagement

In his remarks, HE Mohammed Ahmed Amin Al Awadi said that the ‘Al Dhaid and Fili Nights’ initiative is part of the Sharjah Ramadan Festival 2026 agenda and reflects SCCI’s commitment to enhancing economic and commercial activity across the emirate, particularly in the Central Region. He noted that the initiative integrated entertainment, cultural, and marketing elements to support sales growth, stimulate market activity, and strengthen connections between businesses and visitors.

Jamal Saeed Bouzanjal, General Coordinator of Sharjah Ramadan Festival, said the Al Dhaid and Fili Nights program added strategic value to this year’s edition by attracting significant footfall to both venues. He highlighted that the heritage and interactive programs contributed to a distinctive visitor experience while preserving cultural authenticity.

Aisha Saleh, Head of Festival and Promotions Department at SCCI, said that the Sharjah Ramadan Festival 2026 served as a strategic platform for collaboration between organizers and the private sector. The festival’s performance metrics indicate a strong positive impact on key markets, notably Souq Shari’at Al Dhaid and Fili Heritage Souq, where field surveys recorded a 100 percent positive rating and more than 95 percent of participating outlets experienced increased sales, reflecting tangible commercial benefits, she added.

Shop-owner satisfaction reached 85 percent for prizes and 80 percent for supporting activities, with more than 95 percent expressing willingness to participate in future editions. More than 90 prizes were distributed, including two Nissan Patrol vehicles.

Diverse programs enhance cultural, community experience

The ‘Al Dhaid and Fili Nights’ initiative has featured a comprehensive program of entertainment, heritage, and educational activities targeting all segments of the community.

Activities included interactive competitions, daily quizzes, and prize distributions, alongside the ‘Young Influencer’ event and a social media coverage competition promoting heritage markets through digital platforms.

Additional programming at Al Dhaid and Fili Nights included awareness workshops, educational and environmental sessions, and weekend interactive activities, delivering an integrated educational and recreational experience that catered to diverse age groups and enhanced community engagement throughout the festival period.
