The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), in collaboration with the World Bank, will host a series of 25 specialized sessions and meetings in Belgium and Germany from June 8 to 12, focusing on global best practices in artificial intelligence (AI) governance and data management.
The initiative will bring together leading AI experts, policymakers, and representatives from international organizations to exchange knowledge and strengthen cooperation on emerging technologies.
The sessions aim to highlight Saudi Arabia’s experience in building a national data and AI ecosystem, while contributing to international efforts to establish responsible AI governance frameworks.
The discussions will focus on key enablers, policies, and legislation for AI governance, emphasizing the safe and trustworthy deployment of emerging technologies. Officials said the sessions would promote knowledge sharing and international collaboration to tackle challenges associated with AI and data governance.
SDAIA aims to leverage the sessions to showcase Saudi Arabia’s advancements in AI innovation and governance, emphasizing the Kingdom’s role as a global leader in building ethical, regulated, and scalable AI frameworks.

The sessions will cover a wide range of topics, including:
- The EU AI Act and its implications for international AI projects
- Data governance and privacy standards
- International cooperation in AI and cross-border regulatory alignment
- European AI standards and regulations
- The responsible and ethical application of AI technologies
Experts participating in the events are expected to exchange experiences and insights that will help shape global AI policies and frameworks, supporting international initiatives to ensure AI is developed and deployed in a safe, reliable, and accountable manner.
