Dubai International Chamber, one of the three chambers operating under Dubai Chambers, has opened a representative office in Luanda, the capital of Angola, to strengthen trade and investment relations between Dubai and Angola.
The Luanda office is the chamber’s eighth representative office in Africa and forms part of its efforts to support business cooperation between Dubai-based companies and partners across key African markets.
The office was inaugurated in the presence of HE Salem Ali Al Shamsi, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Republic of Angola, during a ceremony attended by Angolan government officials and business leaders.
Salem AlShamsi, Executive Vice President of International Relations at Dubai Chambers, said that the opening reflects the chamber’s commitment to expanding economic ties between Dubai and Angola.
AlShamsi added that the office will support the development of trade and investment opportunities, strengthen bilateral business partnerships, and reinforce Dubai’s role as a business hub for companies seeking international growth.
The launch comes as bilateral trade between Dubai and Angola continues to grow. Non-oil trade reached $3.16 billion (AED11.6 billion) in 2025, representing a 47.5 percent increase compared with 2024. As of the end of March 2026, 87 Angolan companies were registered as active members of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce.
The representative office will work with public and private sector stakeholders in Angola to strengthen commercial relations and promote Dubai as an international business destination.
It will also provide market intelligence and guidance to Angolan companies looking to establish operations in Dubai and expand into regional and global markets.
In addition, the office will support Dubai-based companies entering the Angolan market by providing market insights, identifying business opportunities, and facilitating connections with local partners.
The Luanda office has been established under the Dubai Global initiative, which aims to open 50 representative offices worldwide by 2030.
The initiative is designed to attract foreign direct investment to Dubai and support the international expansion of Dubai-based companies across 30 priority markets.
