Zain KSA has launched the commercial rollout of 5G-Advanced (5G+), becoming the first telecommunications provider in Saudi Arabia to offer the next-generation mobile technology to consumers.
The rollout builds on the company’s earlier deployment of the Kingdom’s first 5G Standalone (5G SA) network and forms part of its ongoing investment in digital infrastructure and network development.
The initial phase covers Riyadh and Jeddah, with Zain KSA deploying the 600 MHz spectrum alongside other frequency bands to strengthen network coverage and improve connectivity, particularly indoors and in areas requiring wider signal reach.
According to the company, 5G-Advanced provides higher data speeds, lower latency, and improved network reliability compared with existing 5G services.
The technology is designed to enhance the performance of applications such as ultra-high-definition video streaming, cloud gaming, video conferencing, and AI-enabled services.
Zain KSA stated that the technology also delivers more consistent performance in high-density locations, improved indoor coverage, and greater battery efficiency for compatible devices.
In addition to improving the customer experience, 5G-Advanced supports enhanced network performance through lower latency, improved mobility, higher upload efficiency, and greater network reliability.
The company added that the rollout also establishes the foundation for future communications technologies, including Voice over New Radio (VoNR), Reduced Capability (RedCap) devices, and other next-generation digital services.

Zain KSA emphasized that the deployment forms part of its long-term strategy to expand network capabilities and support the adoption of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things (IoT), as demand for advanced digital services continues to grow across the Kingdom.
