The Saudi Film Commission (SFC), a government body affiliated with the Ministry of Culture, is taking part in the Annecy International Animation Film Festival 2025, as part of its commitment to enhancing the local animation sector while improving distribution.
The film festival, scheduled to run till June14, is being held in Annecy, France. The event stands out as one of the world’s flagship events in the field of animation.
Through this participation, Saudi Film Commission aims to strengthen communication with animation creators across the world. They also seek to foster Saudi animation in European forums, keep abreast of the latest industry trends, and enable national talents to benefit from the accompanying training programs.
Participating on behalf of the Saudi Film Commission is a delegation from the Commission and a group of Saudi animation filmmakers. The filmmakers were chosen after a thorough evaluation, considering their active involvement and specialization in the filed of animation. In addition, their animation works produced during last year were also assessed.
The SFC’s participation in the Annecy International Animation Film Festival highlights Saudi Arabia’s vision to emerge as a leading voice in the global cinema and animation industries.
