Saudi ranks 6th among G20 nations for ITC market value: CITC

Governor of the Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC), Dr. Mohammed Bin Saud Al-Tamimi inaugurated the eighth edition of CT Indicators Forum 2022, under the patronage and presence of Minister of Communications and Information Technology Eng. Abdullah Al-Swaha.

During the inauguration ceremony, which had the participation of several ministers and sector leaders in the Kingdom, Dr. Al-Tamimi referred to the communications market in Saudi Arabia as one of the most expanding, with 6th rank among G20 countries in terms of market value.

The country also secured the second rank among G20 nations with the frequency spectrum allocated for mobile communication services at the global level.

In his inaugural speech, Dr. Al-Tamimi said that the progress witnessed by the communications and information technology sector in the Kingdom reflects the interest and support the wise leadership lends for this vital sector and reflects the close follow up of the minister of communications and information technology, who is also chairman of CITC.

Dr. Al-Tamimi also said that the forum focuses on three main goals of providing the latest data and information on the sector through modern indicators and performance indicators, in addition to shedding light on the latest global trends in the field of communications and information technology, which not only affect the Kingdom but also the region and beyond.

The forum also explores solutions that should be provided by the communications and information technology sector in a world that progresses with accelerating steps towards digital transformation.
