SRTI Park launches 2nd edition of SAIA accelerator program to boost UAE’s Industry 4.0

The Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park (SRTI Park) has launched Sharjah Advanced Industry Accelerator 2.0 (SAIA) to enhance the national industrial base’s diversification and position the UAE as an incubator of innovation and creativity.

The accelerator program will offer local and regional startups with innovative solutions and strong support systems within the thriving SRTI Park ecosystem following the fourth industrial revolution (Industry 4.0) and UAE’s industrial strategy ‘Operation 300bn’, a 10-year comprehensive policy aimed at empowering and expanding the industrial sector and increasing its contribution to the GDP.

“SAIA will focus on supporting early and growth stage startups to scale up in the UAE & MENA region, thereby further supporting UAE’s goal to attract world-class talent and innovation. SAIA is also in line with UAE’s Unified Industrial Brand Identity, ‘Make It in the Emirates’, an integrated industrial system that leverages advanced technologies and Fourth Industrial Revolution solutions to contribute to building a sustainable, knowledge-based economy.” 

SAIA 2.0 will make Sharjah into a testbed of advanced technologies in the research, manufacturing sector. The accelerator program will give the infinite growth potential and establish local startups as a key contributor to the UAE’s development journey.

Supports the leadership’s vision

SAIA 2.0 is part of the endeavors made to set up the UAE Strategy of Industrial Transaction and Transformation pillars. The program brings a comprehensive package of facilities and incentives to position the country as a global industrial hub that attracts talents, developers and experts from all over the world.

The program will support early-stage businesses in smart construction management, smart materials, green building, modularization/prefabrication, building information modeling, additive manufacturing, connected infrastructures, and connected ecosystems.

Mr. Al Mahmoudi explained, “The accelerator program reflects the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al-Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to position the UAE as a global industrial hub by focusing primarily on future industries that implement advanced technology and the 4th Industrial Revolution solutions and technology.”

SRTI Park hosts smart businesses, Industry 4.0 developers, integrated digital technologies and manufacturers in robotics, AI technologies, 3D Printing, autonomous vehicles and other advanced technologies.
