The United Arab Emirates has reinforced its growing global presence in advanced defense and security technologies with strong participation at the International Air, Space, Defense, and Security Exhibition (FIDAE 2026) in Santiago, Chile.
The UAE’s participation, led by EDGE Group, highlighted cutting-edge innovations and integrated defense solutions, reflecting the country’s strategic focus on technological advancement and international collaboration.
The exhibition, held biennially at Pudahuel Air Base, is the largest and most influential aerospace and defense event in Latin America, bringing together global industry leaders, policymakers, and defense experts.
Chile’s President, José Antonio Kast, inaugurated the event and toured various pavilions, including that of EDGE Group, where he commended the UAE’s high-quality participation and the advanced technologies on display.
Mohammed Saeed Al Neyadi, UAE Ambassador to Chile, described the country’s participation as a strategic milestone, reflecting the UAE’s ambition to build high-impact international partnerships in advanced technology and innovation.
The ambassador noted that the EDGE Group’s debut at FIDAE represents growing international confidence in the UAE’s defense manufacturing capabilities and its ability to deliver sophisticated, future-ready solutions.
Al Neyadi emphasized that the UAE’s defense strategy is increasingly focused on developing integrated systems capable of addressing evolving global security challenges with efficiency and precision. Mohammed Saeed Al Neyadi added that such international platforms provide an opportunity to showcase the country’s innovation-driven approach while fostering collaboration with global partners.

The ambassador also highlighted the steady growth in UAE-Chile relations, noting that both countries are working to deepen cooperation across economic, technological, and investment sectors. He described Chile as a key strategic partner for the UAE in Latin America, particularly due to its open economy and strong support for innovation and international trade.
Reaffirming the UAE’s commitment to global cooperation, Al Neyadi stressed the importance of partnerships based on knowledge exchange and technology transfer as essential drivers for sustainable development and global stability.
Mohammed Saeed Al Neyadi added that the UAE will continue to strengthen its engagement with Chile and the wider Latin American region, supporting joint efforts to address emerging challenges and promote long-term prosperity.
