UAE is 11th on the world’s safest nations list; Deep Knowledge Report

Switzerland and Germany topped the list of safest countries in the world for coronavirus

The UAE has come out with flying colors with an impressive 11th position among 100 countries around the world in a study carried out by Deep Knowledge Group, a consortium of companies and nonprofits under Hong Kong-based Deep Knowledge Ventures.

The study produced a top 100 list where countries are ranked based on various factors including quarantine and government efficiency, as well as monitoring, detection and health readiness.

UAE impresses globally with an 11th rank, behind New Zealand and South Korea but leads Canada and Hong Kong. Switzerland and Germany are the first and second safest countries respectively primarily because of their economic resilience. They are followed by Singapore, Japan, Austria, China and Australia.

The United States has been placed at 58 behind Romania ahead of Russia, while India is 56th Pakistan couldn’t find a place on the list.

UAE was the safest Arab nation while neighbors Saudi Arabia are placed at number 15 on the table, accompanied by Kuwait (21), Bahrain (23) and Oman (33).

Sub-Saharan Africa and South America are ranked as the regions with the highest-risk whereas Cambodia, Laos and the Bahamas are deemed as the three most dangerous countries respectively for COVID-19.
