UAE set to launch 50 new economic projects for the next phase of growth

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and the Ruler of Dubai, has announced the launching of a bold new series of national strategic initiatives this month that will set the foundation for the UAE’s new era of domestic and international growth.

The ambitious initiatives will be built on the UAE’s past 50 years of achievements and will also chart innovative strategies for the next 50. The UAE’s economic and development programs are intended to strengthen its regional and international profile as a major economic hub and a champion of excellence, with a competitive business atmosphere that will attract investors, innovators, entrepreneurs, and talent around the world.

The announcement was also headed by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and the Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces. Sheikh Al Nahyan encouraged UAE people’s participation to seize the opportunities of the future. 

H.H. Sheikh Mohammed tweeted “The UAE is starting a new season in a different way this year. We will announce a series of 50 significant economic projects starting from September 5 to lead the next phase of growth. The UAE does not wait for the future, it shapes its own future.”

The projects will include economic and social development, with an emphasis on entrepreneurship, the digital and circular economies, and the Fourth Industrial Revolution applications, bringing together all sectors of society to lead the next era of growth. The initiative’s multiple specializations will support the goals of economic diversification, which include expanding the national economy’s base and diversifying sources of overall income.

The top national priority of the new projects is to advance the UAE’s economy, ensure a decent life for citizens and residents, double the Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and boost the UAE’s status as a global incubator for talents and investors from all over the world.

The leaders aim to transform the UAE into a comprehensive hub in all sectors and areas of creativity and innovation, positioning the UAE as a land of opportunities and a destination for those looking for a global test-bed for ambitious and innovative ideas.
