Wadi Jeddah company, the investment arm of King Abdulaziz University, has signed a strategic agreement with Captains of Innovation, the innovation consultancy of the US-based Cambridge Innovation Center (CIC).

The partnership is designed to strengthen the planning and operations of Wadi Jeddah’s Innovation Center by providing strategic guidance rooted in international best practices.

Further, it emphasizes knowledge transfer, capacity building, and integration into CIC’s global innovation network to accelerate growth and global connectivity.

According to the reports, this initiative aligns with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 by fostering a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship, empowering individuals and businesses to develop transformative solutions, and contributing to the Kingdom’s transition toward a diversified, knowledge-based economy.

The Saudi innovation ecosystem is a comprehensive, multi-tiered framework strategically developed to facilitate the Kingdom’s transformation from a resource-based, oil-dependent economy into a dynamic, knowledge-driven society, in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030.

CIC serves as a global hub for innovation, supporting startups through incubation and connecting them with international investment and knowledge networks. Through this partnership, Wadi Jeddah Company aims to create a national benchmark for cognitive and technological innovation in Saudi Arabia.

Through this strategic collaboration, Wadi Jeddah aims to harness international expertise to cultivate a dynamic and forward-thinking innovation ecosystem.

The initiative is poised to enhance Saudi Arabia’s global competitiveness in the knowledge economy while advancing King Abdulaziz University’s mission to drive scientific research excellence and promote the localization of advanced technologies within the Kingdom, as per the statement.
