Wego, Singapore-based largest online travel marketplace in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, has entered into a partnership with Expo 2020 Dubai, becoming an authorized ticket reseller for the global event.

As part of the partnership, a joint campaign will be initiated which will see Wego promoting the event across all its marketing channels. Wego will be working on compelling stories and tailored videos covering things to do and explore at Expo 2020.

The campaign, which will run online until the 31st of March, will also include emails and push notifications to Wego’s vast customer base in the MENA region enticing them to visit the world’s most awaited event.

Further, Wego provides the users with a range of tickets that they can book from through its application and website under the activities section. Travelers from any part of the world can seamlessly book a 1-day ticket, multi-day pass entry as well as season’s pass, which are valid throughout the entire duration of the event.

Mr. Mamoun Hmedan, Managing Director, MENA and India, Wego, said, “Expo 2020 is the first global event that will draw a new path for the return of the global economy to what it was before the pandemic and boost the tourism industry. We’re proud to partner with Expo 2020 and offer our users a chance to visit this remarkable event.”

Through this collaboration, Wego aims to increase the number of visitors to the event. For the month of October, Wego has rewarded its users with a free Expo 2020 ticket when they booked a 2-night hotel stay through its platform.

Reports show that the global event witnessed over 2.3 million visitors in the first month. Through this campaign, Wego aims to increase the conversation about Expo 2020 and drive more visitors to the event.
