M42’s National Reference Laboratory (NRL) has entered into a strategic partnership with Abbott to introduce advanced early cancer detection solutions in the UAE.
The collaboration will focus on deploying diagnostic solutions based on biomarker testing and multi-marker algorithm-driven analyses to support the earlier identification of cancer and enable clinicians to make more informed treatment decisions.
The initiative supports accurate diagnoses and empowers clinicians with timely, data-driven insights for improved treatment decisions.
Under the agreement, the two organizations will work together to implement innovative cancer detection solutions to identify the disease at an earlier stage, enabling more informed clinical decision-making and enhancing the quality of patient care.
The partnership will begin with a pilot program focused on reducing cancer incidence and mortality while improving patient outcomes across the UAE. The pilot is intended to establish a foundation for broader adoption of advanced cancer screening technologies across the country’s healthcare ecosystem.
The initiative aligns with the UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention’s National Cancer Control Program, which identifies early detection and screening as key priorities in tackling the growing burden of cancer.
The partnership is also aligned with the objectives of UAE Vision 2031, which seeks to strengthen the country’s healthcare system, address gaps in cancer care, enhance oncology services, and support access to high-quality healthcare.
