Abu Dhabi Chamber explores trade & investment ties with South African Ambassador

Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Abu Dhabi Chamber) has discussed means to strengthen bilateral ties with Mr. Saa’d Cachalia, Ambassador of South Africa to the UAE.

The meeting highlighted the necessity of developing trade and investment relations between South Africa and the UAE. Mr. Abdullah Mohammed Al Mazrouie, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Chamber, welcomed Ambassador Cachalia and the accompanying delegation and shared opinions on the latest economic developments. Mr. Mohamed Helal Al Mheiri, Director-General of the Abu Dhabi Chamber, attended the meeting as well.

At the beginning of the event, Mr. Al Mazrouei praised the South African Ambassador’s visit, emphasizing the two countries’ deep ties and the Chamber’s willingness to enhance trade and investment cooperation between firms in both nations.

He also highlighted the Chamber’s efforts to provide the required facilities to investors in order to eradicate all obstacles and to open lines of communication between the relevant authorities in Abu Dhabi and their counterparts in South Africa.

For his part, Mr. Cachalia congratulated Mr. Al Mazrouei on assuming the chairmanship of the Abu Dhabi Chamber, expressing his delight for the Chamber’s efforts in pushing the wheels of economic cooperation with his country forward. He also emphasized the significance of negotiating cooperation agreements between the Abu Dhabi Chamber and South African authorities.

During the meeting, Mr. Al Mheiri offered a brief overview of the Chamber’s many services and introduced the Chamber’s extensive network of international partners, as well as the Chamber’s role in linking foreign investors and enterprises with the Abu Dhabi business community.

Last month, Abu Dhabi Chamber has discussed the trade and economic cooperation between the countries with the Ambassador of Argentina to the UAE, HE Jorge Agustin Arambarri.
