The Integrated Transport Centre (Abu Dhabi Mobility), part of the Department of Municipalities and Transport, has spotlighted smart transport solutions during its participation at ATM 2025.

The center’s participation highlights its commitment to AI integration and digital transformation, aligning with the emirate’s vision of emerging as a global pioneer in smart tourism.

During the event, Abu Dhabi Mobility highlighted its latest public and private mobility initiatives, including digital platforms such as Abu Dhabi Taxi and Yango.

In 2024, the emirate’s 6,168-vehicle taxi fleet, of which 87 percent are low-emission, recorded more than 99 million passengers. Smart platforms accounted for 88 percent of bookings, and over 28.8 million transactions were made through electronic payments.

The expansion of autonomous vehicle operations was also highlighted, particularly around Zayed International Airport, with plans to extend routes to additional areas as part of its efforts to foster smart tourism.

Designed for school transport, the ‘Salama app’ enables real-time tracking of over 9,300 buses and has been used by more than 81,000 parents. In addition, Abu Dhabi Mobility presented ‘Asateel’ digital platform, which manages permits for freight, school and passenger transport, with 8,381 commercial buses and 7,910 permits issued this year.

Currently, the Abu Dhabi Express service includes 47 buses operated by seven authorized providers. Public bus transportation plays a crucial role in the emirate’s smart tourism strategy, with 146 routes and 796 buses serving over 95 million trips in 2024.

Regional connectivity and travel convenience are further enhanced by services such as Abu Dhabi Link and the Mass Rapid Transit system.

To boost marine tourism and service accessibility, Abu Dhabi Mobility is working together  with its strategic partners to develop digital platforms for vessel licensing, berth certification, and marine transport booking.

Furthermore, in the aviation sector, the center contributes to shaping policy, enhancing air connectivity, supporting airport infrastructure planning, and improving service efficiency. It collaborates with airports and airlines to drive the growth of tourism and facilitate access to Abu Dhabi.
