AD Ports Group has signed a partnership agreement with Borouge to explore expanded collaboration opportunities aimed at strengthening export resilience and operational flexibility.
As per the agreement, both companies will collaborate on the potential establishment of an alternative international export hub on the UAE’s East Coast as part of Borouge Plc’s long-term export strategy.
The initiative is intended to enhance export continuity, strengthen resilience across the company’s logistics network, and improve operational flexibility to support long-term global trade and supply chain stability.
The collaboration will utilize AD Ports Group’s marine connectivity and access to port services at Fujairah Terminals and Eastern ports facilities in the UAE, while also assessing the development of dedicated polyolefins infrastructure on the East Coast.
The two companies will evaluate ways to reduce reliance on constrained maritime passages and improve flexibility in vessel scheduling and routing through joint engagement with shipping lines.
The initiative is expected to support the development of new routes via Fujairah Terminals and facilitate stable export flows across a diversified network of ports and logistics facilities.
