Ajman has become the first region in the UAE to adopt the “UAE Pass” for all its communications and official procedures between government organizations across the Emirate.

The move was made possible when Ajman’s Department of Digital successfully linked its “Al-Tarish” system with the UAE Pass is a national digital identity (digital signature) for every citizens and resident of the UAE.

“We managed to link Al-Tarish, the Emirate’s internal correspondence system between government entities and institutions employed in Ajman, with the national digital identity, UAE Pass, which has ensured a smooth workflow and raised the level of security and reliability.”

Dina Fares, Ajman Department of Digital’s Director of the Digital Transformation remarked that government organizations and their customers will be able to access a unified entry system by using the UAE Pass, completely eliminating the use case for a traditional signature.

She elaborated that the project was based on the needs and requirements of the users after studying their patterns and orienting the users about the benefits of a centralised mechanism of the digital signature.

Fares further added that the project went through a number of vital stages that led to its success. The system is all set to launch by mid-October 2020 across all entities in Ajman.
