Digital Dubai and the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) have urged users to be careful following the detection of phishing attempts targeting users of the UAE PASS through fraudulent messages and links designed to obtain personal information or trick users into approving unauthorized login requests.
Authorities of Digital Dubai and TDRA have highlighted that these fraudulent attempts can often appear highly convincing, mimicking official communications. They may be delivered through email, SMS, or various messaging applications, making them seem legitimate at first glance. In certain cases, users might even encounter what appear to be genuine login or verification prompts within the UAE PASS application itself.
To stay protected, users are strongly advised to remain vigilant and cautious at all times. If you receive any login or verification request that you did not personally initiate, you should immediately cancel or reject it. Under no circumstances should such requests be approved, as doing so could compromise your personal information and digital identity.
Digital Dubai authorities stressed that official entities will never ask users to share login credentials or verification codes. Users are strongly urged not to disclose personal information or one-time codes to anyone, no matter how legitimate the request may seem. They also warned that scammers may attempt to gain access by requesting SIM card replacements or triggering facial recognition verification processes.
They emphasized the need to verify the sender’s identity, avoid clicking on suspicious links, and carefully check website URLs before entering any sensitive information. Any suspicious messages should be reported immediately through official UAE PASS support channels.
Digital Dubai officials further encouraged the public to maintain a high level of digital awareness to protect personal data and accounts, with authorities underscoring that constant vigilance is key to preserving UAE PASS security and the integrity of digital services.
