Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) Chairman Mr. Sameer Nass has discussed ways to strengthen business cooperation between the Kingdom and Brazil with the Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce President Mr. Osmar Chohfi.

During the meeting, Mr. Nass lauded the high-profile relations between Bahrain and Brazil, noting the potential of the two countries to further develop the business sector.

Furthermore, the meeting, which is held at Royal Saray Hotel Bahrain, addressed ways to boost commerce and trade between Brazil and Bahrain, as well as other Gulf Cooperation Council countries (GCC). It discussed conducting a combined business forum to bring together business owners from both sides.

Mr. Nass highlighted the growing business between Brazil and Arab countries. Further, he pointed out that “the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia tops importers of Brazilian goods, with exports from Brazil to the Kingdom reaching $526.16 million, while Bahrain ranked second with imports worth $406.36 million.”

During the meeting, he further mentioned medical tourism, pharmaceuticals, education, and the aluminum downstream industry as possible areas of cooperation between Bahrain and Brazil.

Mr. Chohfi hailed the increasing relationship between Brazil and Bahrain, as well as the GCC, emphasizing his country’s desire to strengthen connections and boost business collaboration with friendly nations.

Earlier this year, the Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce opened a new startup incubator ‘ABCC Lab’ to facilitate further trade growth momentum between Brazil and the Arab world. ABCC Lab intends to focus on equipping startups with adequate training and promote networking among participants to enhance the exchange of best practices in the innovation sector, and more.
