Bahrain’s Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications (MTT) has made its remote inspection service for land transport activities available through the Tajer application as part of government efforts to improve public service delivery and expand digital services.
The service enables beneficiaries to book remote inspection appointments electronically through the Tajer app, the unified government smart platform for commercial registration services.
The initiative simplifies procedures, improves access to the service, and reduces the time and effort required to complete transactions.
The updated service also features an improved user interface and user experience to facilitate electronic booking and support more efficient service delivery.
Fatima Abdulla Al Dhaen, Undersecretary for Land Transport and Post at the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications, said that the addition of the remote inspection service to the Tajer application forms part of the ministry’s efforts to expand its digital services. The service supports the efficiency of the inspection and regulatory system, improves the beneficiary experience, and helps institutions comply with regulatory requirements.
Al Dhaen added that the ministry will continue introducing digital solutions that simplify procedures, reduce processing time, and improve operational efficiency in line with the government’s digital transformation objectives.
The initiative is part of Bahrain’s wider program to develop and re-engineer government services. The government has documented, translated, and published more than 1,300 services, while around 800 services are currently undergoing development and re-engineering across various sectors.
According to the ministry, the service improvements are based on feedback received through the National System for Suggestions and Complaints (Tawasul), investor feedback, secret-shopper reports, guidance manuals, and service-level agreements.
The ministry emphasized that these measures aim to upgrade procedural efficiency, enhance service quality, and support the government’s digital transformation program.
