The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has completed its first intensive capacity building program aimed at preparing Emirati experts in leadership and excellence for top functional positions at DEWA.

The program helps graduates develop their divisions based on the criteria and requirements of the government excellence system, and the Dubai Government Excellence Program (DGEP) of the General Secretariat of the Executive Council of Dubai.

The program, which was supervised by specialists in corporate excellence and in DEWA’s main technical and administrative areas, attracted 21 trainees from different DEWA divisions. Hands-on training in simulating evaluation processes and preparing evaluation reports was provided as part of the program.

Mr. Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, stated that DEWA’s excellence in corporate maturity and the accumulated knowledge of its leaders in assessment were all factors that enabled the organization to become one of the most recognized and distinguished global utilities.
