Dubai Municipality has launched the Account Manager initiative, introducing a dedicated communication channel for strategic customers and partners to strengthen long-term partnerships and improve the delivery of municipal services.
The initiative is designed to provide proactive, customer-centric services that accelerate procedures, simplify customer journeys and support an integrated municipal service ecosystem aimed at enhancing quality of life in Dubai.
The new initiative marks a shift from traditional service delivery to a relationship-based approach, with dedicated Account Managers serving as direct points of contact for key customer segments, including individuals, food traders, real estate developers, contractors and engineering consultants. The service is intended to ensure faster follow-up, streamlined processes and a more efficient customer experience.
To support implementation, Dubai Municipality’s relevant departments have signed a comprehensive charter outlining the roles and responsibilities for managing customer accounts across approved customer segments. The framework is intended to deliver integrated, proactive services that meet customer expectations and improve satisfaction.
From an operational perspective, Account Managers will oversee customer relationships through continuous engagement, respond to inquiries and follow up on transactions within one working day, improving service agility and responsiveness.
The Account Managers have been equipped with specialized expertise and the authority to coordinate directly with departments across Dubai Municipality, enabling faster procedures, simplified customer journeys and integrated solutions tailored to customer requirements.
Their responsibilities extend beyond providing guidance, with Account Managers overseeing requests from submission through resolution while addressing observations and challenges within defined service timelines. This end-to-end approach is designed to enhance customer experience and improve operational efficiency.
Manal Bin Yaroof, Director of the Customer Happiness Department at Dubai Municipality, said that, “The Account Manager initiative marks an important step in the way Dubai Municipality serves its customers and partners. It reflects our commitment to moving from a traditional service model towards a more proactive approach built on long-term relationships, deeper understanding of customer needs and faster, more effective responses. Through this dedicated service channel, we aim to support vital sectors with greater flexibility and professionalism, enhance the continuity of their work, and strengthen customer happiness. The initiative also reinforces Dubai’s position as a global city that provides world-class government services designed around the needs of customers and the community.”
Account Managers to accelerate municipal services
Dubai Municipality has also enabled Account Managers to communicate directly with customers, coordinate across organizational units and securely access relevant data to support faster and more efficient service delivery.
In addition, Account Managers will monitor and document customer interactions through smart systems, submitting monthly reports and recommendations to support the continuous improvement of municipal services.
The initiative forms part of Dubai Municipality’s broader customer happiness strategy, strengthening proactive engagement, improving service efficiency and fostering stronger partnerships with key sectors that support Dubai’s economic growth and global competitiveness.
