The first fully Artificial Intelligence (AI) autonomous medical fitness center ‘Smart Salem’ by the Dubai Health Authority benefited a total of 1,589 customers from its services.

The medical fitness screening center located at the City Walk open-air mall was inaugurated in February 2020 to provide medical screening for residency visas, VIPs, investors and golden residency visa holders.

The center provides screening services using high-tech healthcare solutions, AI and the Internet of Things(IoT) that enables to complete the process with limited human involvement and within a time limit of 30 minutes.

The center is equipped with ultramodern digital technologies, medical devices and integrated systems across government departments to ensure flawless service for customers and shareholders.

In association with the General Directorate of Residency and the Foreigners Affairs Dubai, the Salem Smart offers residence visa stamping for eligible customers.

“Customers expressed their overall happiness and satisfaction with the state-of-the-art services provided by the smart center. We are studying opportunities for opening more AI centers in the future.”

The center uses AI Pod for measuring the vital functions and IoT for collecting the medical history and then analyses the information and specifies the risk factors for the physician and transfers the results to the Salem system automatically.

To ensure the comfort and happiness of customers four robots are employed in Salem, each with different functions including customer service, catering and vending.

The first of its kind fitness screening initiative is under the Dubai paperless Strategy, UAE strategy for AI and UAE Centennial 2071.
