Etihad Airways has officially launched its inaugural flight to Kazan, marking a significant milestone in the airline’s expansion strategy.
The new direct route connects Abu Dhabi to one of Russia’s fastest-growing cities, enhancing travel options and fostering stronger ties between the UAE and Russia.
The new route, operating three times a week, connects two dynamic destinations, Abu Dhabi and Kazan, making travel between them more accessible than ever. With a flight time of just over five hours, it offers a convenient and efficient way for travelers to explore both cities, whether for business or leisure.

According to the statement, Flight EY839 touched down at Kazan International Airport, greeted with a ceremonial welcome, marking the start of a new travel corridor for business and leisure travelers.
The service, operating on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, is ideally timed for weekend getaways or extended holidays.
Earlier, Etihad Airways unveiled plans to fly its A380 to Narita International Airport in Greater Tokyo for Summer 2026, offering travelers a premium, high-capacity aircraft experience on one of its most in-demand Asian routes.
