The 21st International Conference and Exhibition on Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG 2026) has concluded in Qatar National Convention Centre, Doha, after four days of high-level panel discussions and interactive debates.
The LNG 2026 event has brought together government officials, policymakers, industry experts, and innovators from more than 80 countries, reaffirming its standing as the world’s most prestigious gathering for the liquefied natural gas industry. The diverse international participation highlighted the global importance of LNG in today’s evolving energy landscape.
Attracting more than 300 companies that participated in the accompanying exhibition, LNG 2026 spanned 35,000 square meters at the Qatar National Convention Centre. The exhibition showcased cutting-edge technologies, services, and solutions across the LNG value chain.
The conference program explored key market trends, breakthrough technologies, and innovative solutions shaping a sector that remains vital to global energy security and a cornerstone of the energy transition. LNG 2026 provided a unique platform for collaboration, knowledge exchange, and the facilitation of high-value commercial opportunities aimed at advancing the LNG industry.
Speaking at the conclusion of LNG 2026, QatarEnergy’s Manager of Public Relations and Communication, Lolwa Khalil Salat, said the discussions over the past few days reaffirmed that energy is not only about figures and projects, but also about building bridges of trust and cooperation, and fostering a shared vision for the future.
At the closing ceremony, Salat has formally handed over the hosting of the International Conference and Exhibition on Liquefied Natural Gas to Professor Andrew Garnett, Chair of The Australian Gas Industry Trust and Co-Host of LNG 2029, representing the next host country, Australia. LNG 2029 will be held in Brisbane, Australia, in 2029.
The LNG Conference and Exhibition is held every three years, alternating between exporting and importing countries. It is jointly organized by the International Gas Union, the Gas Technology Institute, and the International Institute of Refrigeration.
