The Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) has announced the addition of the new Red Sea to India (RESIN) shipping service, operated by SeaLead, to Jeddah Islamic Port.

The new shipping service connects Jeddah Islamic Port to four regional and international ports: Nhava Sheva in India, Sokhna in Egypt, Djibouti, and Jebel Ali in the UAE, with a carrying capacity of up to 1,000 standard containers.

The addition of the new RESIN shipping service at Jeddah Islamic Port represents a strategic move to bolster Saudi Arabia’s position as a regional and global logistics hub. By enhancing maritime connectivity with four key regional and international ports, this service supports the Kingdom’s broader objectives under Vision 2030, particularly in expanding non-oil exports and increasing the efficiency of its logistics sector.

This initiative aligns with Mawani’s strategy to enhance the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s maritime connectivity with global markets, in line with the objectives of the National Transport and Logistics Strategy. The strategy seeks to position the Kingdom as a global logistics hub and a key gateway linking three continents, thereby boosting its regional and global competitiveness.

Jeddah Islamic Port is one of the most vital ports on the Red Sea, offering high capacity and advanced logistical services. It plays a central role in supporting import and export activity and in strengthening the Kingdom’s position in global supply chains.

Recently, the Mawani launched Evergreen Marine’s new ARPG service at King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam. This strategic move marks a significant step in bolstering Saudi Arabia’s maritime infrastructure and aligns with national efforts to strengthen the Kingdom’s role as a global logistics hub.
