Neo Space Group (NSG), a global space services company owned by the Public Investment Fund (PIF), has partnered with Saudia Airlines to introduce complimentary high-speed in-flight internet services across the airline’s entire fleet.
This partnership makes Saudia one of the first carriers in the Middle East to offer complimentary broadband connectivity to its passengers.
The service leverages Neo Space Group’s cutting-edge Skywaves system, which is powered by the SES Open Orbits multi-orbit network. This advanced technology ensures fast, reliable, and seamless connectivity for passengers across Saudia’s extensive global network of destinations.
With the ability to tap into multiple satellite orbits, the system provides consistent and high-quality internet access, regardless of location or altitude. The Neo Space Group-Saudia collaboration represents a significant step forward in enhancing the passenger experience, positioning Saudia as a leader in in-flight connectivity within the region.
The partnership coincides with a pivotal phase in Saudia’s transformation journey, which is marked by the largest investment in the airline’s history. This ambitious overhaul aims to significantly enhance the passenger experience, featuring cabin upgrades and the introduction of next-generation digital services.
According to the statement, “By integrating cutting-edge technologies like free high-speed in-flight internet, Saudia is not only revolutionizing its in-flight services but also aligning with its broader vision to modernize and expand its offerings, ensuring a more connected, comfortable, and tech-forward experience for travelers worldwide.”
Furthermore, the collaboration aims to strengthen the Kingdom’s leadership in digital aviation and satellite connectivity, contributing to the growth of the Saudi space economy in support of Saudi Vision 2030.
