Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) will organize the Oman-Belarus Business Forum on 2nd April, to advance economic and trade cooperation and explore joint investment opportunities in several vital sectors.

Faisal Abdullah Al Rowas, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the OCCI, noted that hosting of the Oman-Belarus Business Forum represents an important step in strengthening the presence of the Omani private sector in international markets and opening new horizons for economic cooperation with the Republic of Belarus.

Al Rowas said the Oman-Belarus Business Forum offers a valuable platform for business owners and investors from both countries to explore opportunities and build high-quality partnerships in key sectors. He emphasized the Chamber’s commitment to helping the private sector leverage such events to boost competitiveness and expand its reach.

The Chairman added that direct bilateral meetings between companies are among the forum’s most important outcomes, as they help turn opportunities into concrete projects, support the growth of Omani exports, and facilitate knowledge transfer, contributing to national economic development and diversification goals.

Key sessions across various sectors

The Oman-Belarus Business Forum convenes producers, exporters, and wholesale trade companies, along with agencies and institutions concerned with promoting international trade. It covers a range of key sectors, including food security and agriculture, engineering industries and furniture, pharmaceuticals and information technology, tourism and banking services, and the logistics sector.

The forum will feature introductory presentations from the Omani side regarding available investment opportunities, while the Belarusian delegation will present a series of briefings focusing on growth areas and promising sectors for bilateral cooperation. Additionally, it will review ways to develop shipping routes between the two countries and enhance banking cooperation and payment execution mechanisms.

B2B meetings at Oman-Belarus Business Forum

On the sidelines of the Oman-Belarus Business Forum, direct bilateral meetings (B2B) will be held between representatives of companies and institutions from both sides to build new trade and investment partnerships, contributing to the expansion of trade exchange and the strengthening of economic relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Belarus.
